The YOU Clinic Raffle for The Richmond Christmas Day Dinner
This years raffle will be raising money to buy Christmas presents for young care leavers in our borough. We are thrilled to have discovered this local charity and the amazing team behind it. We would love for you to help us raise as much money as we can, to buy as many gifts as we can for the guests and their little ones.
Our raffle tickets will be £5 each and we have some wonderful prizes for you to win. Tickets are on sale now, you can pop in anytime up until 6pm daily to purchase them, they will also be available at our event next Tuesday evening 6th December between 5-8pm and until we close the raffle on Saturday 10th December.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
For the past six years running, local nurses and care workers - led by Sian and Adriana - have worked hard to put together a special Christmas day event for young care leavers (young people who have spent all or part of their life in the care system) in our Borough.
Sian and Adriana knew most young people who had left the care system had no family to go to on Christmas day, and that most of them spent the day completely alone, in unheated, sometimes empty accommodation without a hot meal or presents or, worse still, in an unsafe environment they had previously been taken away from.
Sian and Adriana set up the Christmas Day Dinner project, which recently blossomed into a fully-fledged charity; Cocoon, Care After Care - congratulations, ladies! The project creates an annual Christmas Day event, that ensures these bright, and resilient young care leavers do not spend Christmas alone. Cocoon also now supports young care leavers across the year in a number of activities.
THIS YEAR
Once again our local community is coming together to create a magical Christmas Day for another 50 young adults (and 14 of their children) who grew up in care. They have now all left the care system and are living independently for the first time. Without the charity Christmas event we help host, the guests - who are all aged between 18 and 25- would likely be alone or in unsafe environments.
The team at Cocoon don’t want to create a day that is 'just good enough’, they aim to create a very special day leaving guests with cherished memories and feeling loved, valued and cared for by their community. Past guests have remarked how blown away they are by the care, warmth, effort and hospitality provided.
Guest will be treated to a chef-prepared traditional turkey dinner, stockings stuffed with high-quality presents, festive entertainment, great company, pampering and all the trimmings!
Each item and resource towards the event is donated. With your help, we look forward to creating Christmas memories to last a lifetime, and spreading some love to those who need it.

Spread the word
Pure people power makes this day happen so the more who know, the better! We currently need to find hairstylists (particularly for Afro texture hair) and beauty therapists who can spare a couple of hours on Christmas Day to pamper our special guests.
Donate
Every little helps fund the day, including taxis for all the guests to safely attend and leave the event.
