Milia

Milia are small, hard, white lumps that are found around the eye area and upper part of the face. They occur when dead skin cells get trapped under the skin, forming into hard spherical small bumps, often they are coloured white. They are not pimples, so shouldn’t be squeezed or picked as it can scar.

Maintaining a good skincare regime can help treat and prevent milia, especially using sunscreen daily and a retinoids night product (we recommend the Medik8 Retinol range). Milia treatment is by gently lancing and removed using a sterile needle, preventing cross-infection with minimal disruption to the surrounding skin tissue.

Please note: we cannot treat milia that sit along the eyelash line or on the upper eyelid. You will need to see a dermatologist for these.
