At the YOU Clinic we use the Candela Nordlys System using a combination of Ellipse SWT® & Nd:YAG technology to give you outstanding results with minimal treatments.
Ellipse SWT® photo rejuvenation offers significant improvements in skin tone especially in the treatment of epidermal pigmentation, and the improvement of skin redness, rosacea and acne clarity.
Skin concerns it can assist are the removal and treatment of age spots, diffused redness and uneven discolouration. In addition it can improve skin texture and reduces pore size, making the skin look fresher, smoother and younger. A thorough consultation and medical health check is necessary prior to treatment. Effective results are usually achieved with 3 treatments at 4-week intervals.
Please Note: The Ellipse SWT® is only suitable for those with light to medium skin colour. Sun exposure should be avoided for 30 days before and after each treatment.

Facial Veins, Rosacea, Port Wine Stains & Blood Spots
Candela Nordlys has two different technologies, Ellipse SWT and Nd:YAG to treat thread veins, also known as spider veins or broken capillaries. Meaning we are able to tailor the treatment to give you the best solution for your skin. Usually, two to six treatments are required at four-week intervals.
Please note: Ellipse SWT is only suitable for those with light to medium skin colour. Sun exposure should be avoided 30 days before and after each treatment.
Nd:YAG technology is designed for all skin colours to treat benign vascular lesions such as thread veins, venous lakes, port wine stains and facial telangiectasia. Its patented, integrated soft cool technology enables a stream of cool air for greater comfort during the treatment.
Please note: Candela Nordlys is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding; has a pacemaker, heart disease, epilepsy, lupus, diabetes, cancer, haemophilia, auto-immune disorder, vitiligo; is taking anti-coagulant medication; suffers keloid scarring.
Standards of care
The YOU Clinic has been successfully treating clients with laser and IPL since 2007 and we are an approved and authorised Candela Partner, so you can expect to receive excellent service from a fully trained Candela therapist.
Although beauty clinics are no longer required to uphold the strict standards set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), we would like to advise clients that we were approved by the CQC and continue to uphold those same standards.
